Keynote: The NEXT 50 years of AAWCC – Maximizing Cross-Generational Relationships to Create a Strong Future

Presenter: Alisa Blum, Alisa Blum & Associates

Metolius Room

Our workforce is comprised of employees from four generations: Baby Boomers, Gen X and Gen Y (or Millennials) and Gen Z. Individuals from each generation bring with them experiences that influence their work style and values. A generational perspective allows employees to develop unique strategies that will improve relationships across the generations.

In this session, you’ll learn to:

  • Understand the characteristics of each of the generations in the workplace with an emphasis on how each generation’s early influences with their families and society have affected their workstyle and values.
  • Appreciate the strengths of each generation.
  • Understand their own communication preference and how to adapt their preferences for effective cross-generational communication.
